About the Artist

I am a visual artist, I work in video, paper, paint, photography and digital painting, as well as interactive media and sound. Collaborative projects are a priority to me and I am always looking for artists groups, interesting projects, and start-ups that I can bring my unique mix of talents too.. Teams are Powerful!  I am also a visiting artist and mentor at MICA and Johns Hopkins, I want to work with students on Collaborative, real world projects.

• I'm an experienced project manager (over 15 yrs) in technology, for both software development and hardware oriented projects.
• I am available to work with students doing critique and leading collaborative efforts, and have Graduate Student teaching experience.
• I excel at and enjoy creative collaboration regarding digital media, photography, video/film projects and web design (Adobe, FCP, CSS, Joomla)
• I consult on technical and process related issues for digital editing and asset management, as well as provide technical assistance.

Collaboration

Collaboration is a recursive process where two or more people or organizations work toward an intersection of common goals — for example, an intellectual endeavor that is creative in nature—by sharing knowledge, learning and building consensus. Collaboration does not require leadership and can sometimes bring better results through decentralization and egalitarianism. In particular, teams that work collaboratively can obtain greater resources, recognition and reward when facing competition for finite resources. Collaboration is an art, and a powerful tool for artists. I believe that changing the world for the better, something sorely needed today, can only be accomplished through collaboration. There has never been a better time to work this way, never a more perfect combination of the will to try and the tools and knowledge available to everyone who wants it. I hope to add my skills to collaborative projects that attempt to make positive change, starting small is fine, but starting is critical.
